Adana (ADA)

Adana- Sakirpasa Airport is located 2.5 miles west of the city center. It is an international airport and has daily flights to and from Istanbul and Ankara. It is the sixth busiest airport in the country.

Alanya (GZP)

Gazipasa Airport was completed in 1999 and is located 21 miles southeast of Alanya. At first, it was built too close to a mountain and could not be used until it had extensive rectifications in 2009, and is now in use. This airport started for domestic flights only but now has flights internationally.

Amasya (MZH)

This small Merzifon- Amasya Airport is 41km northwest of Amasya and receives a few flights per week. There is a larger and busier airport at Samsun, 131km north of Amasya.

Ankara (ESB)

Esenboga Airport is an international airport and also serves domestic flights. It is located 21 miles north of the city center. This airport was awarded The best airport in Europe by ACI Europe in Manchester in 2009.

Antakya/ Hatay (HTY)

This small international Hatay airport has daily scheduled flights from the major cities, making it quick and easy to reach this corner of the country. It was built in what used to be the center of a now drained Lake Amik.

Antalya (AYT)

This large and modern Antalya international Airport is located 6 miles northeast of the city center along the shore highway. It is a major destination during the summer season due to its location on the Mediterranean coast. Antalya airport is the third busiest airport in Turkey.

Bodrum/ Mugla (BJV)

The Milas- Bodrum international Airport is located 21 miles north of the city on the way to Milas. A spacious new international terminal was completed in 2000. This then became the domestic terminal in 2012 following the completion of the new international terminal. The terminals host about 2.5 million travelers per year, and are especially busy during the peak summer season months when charter flights arrive frequently from major cities in Europe and abroad.

Bursa (YEI)

Yenisehir Airport is located 33 miles east of Bursa, 6 miles west of Yenisehir and 43 miles south of Yalcova. It is particularly active during the winter months with international charter flights bringing skiers to the slopes in Uludag.

Corlu (TEQ)

Tekirdag- Corlu Airport is located 9 miles southeast of the center of Corlu, 38 miles northwest of Tekirdag and 66 miles west of Istanbul. This airport receives some regional flights.

Dalaman (DLM)

This international airport is just outside the small town of Dalaman, 31 miles northwest of Fethiye and 75 miles southwest of Marmaris. This airport serves the western Mediterranean coast with daily flights to Istanbul and Ankara, and charter flights to many foreign cities, especially during the summer tourist season.

Denizli/ Pamukkale (DNZ)

Denizli Cardak Airport is located 40 miles from Denizli city center and 44 miles east of Pamukkale. Daily flights come from Istanbul.

Diyarbakir (DIY)

Kaplaner Airport has daily flights to and from Istanbul and Ankara. This airport is a public airbase as well as a military base.

Erzurum (ERZ)

Erzurum Airport is a military and public airport and is located 6 miles northwest of the city center. It has daily flights to Ankara with connections for Istanbul.

Gazientep (GZT)

Oguzeli Airport is located 12 miles southwest of the city center and has daily flight to and from Istanbul. Gazientep Airport was extended with construction started in 1998, and achieved the international airport status in 2006.

Istanbul (IST)

Istanbul Grand Airport is located in the Arnavutkoy district on the European side of the city. This huge airport opened in 2019 and took over commercial passenger flights from the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. This is one of the busiest airports in Europe. Flights to and from this airport, travel all over the globe.

Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW)

This international airport is located on the Asian side of the Bosphorus and serves many domestic and some international flights. It is located 20 miles southeast of the city center.
The airport is named after Sabiha Gokcen, adoptive daughter of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and the first female fighter pilot in the world. Although Istanbul Airport, located 39 miles away on the European side of Istanbul, is larger, Sabiha Gokcen is still one of the largest airports in the country.

Izmir (ADB)

Adnan Menderes Airport is located 11 miles south of the city of Gaziemir and has many daily flights to and from Istanbul and Ankara. During the summer months there are many international flights to many foreign countries.
It is named after the former Turkish Prime Minister, Adnan Menderes. In 2020, Adnan Menderes Airport was named one of the best European airports with a capacity of 5- 15 million passengers by the Airports Council International.

Kars (KSY)

Kars Harakani Airport is located 3.7 miles from Kars. The airport first opened in 1988 and has flights coming from Ankara, Izmir and connecting flights for Istanbul.

Kayseri (ASR)

Erkilet Airport receives daily flights from Istanbul morning to night.

Konya (KYA)

Konya Airport has daily nonstop flights to and from Istanbul and seasonal flights to Izmir. It is a military base and public airport that opened to the public in 2000. The airport is located 18km from the city.

Kutahya (KZR)

Zafer Airport is a large regional airport 32 miles south of Kutahya near Altintas and opened in January 2013. It serves Kutahya, Afyonkarahisar, Usak and nearby towns.

Malatya (MLX)

Erhac Airport is a military and public airport located 21 miles from Malatya and opened in 1941. Flights are regular between Istanbul and Ankara and seasonal to Izmir.

Nevsehir- Kapadokya (NAV)

This airport is located at Tuzkoy near Gulsehir and hosts daily flights from Istanbul and seasonally to the Ukraine. The airport is located 19 miles in the northwest of Nevsehir.

Ordu- Giresun (OGU)

Ordu Giresun Airport is built on 1.8 million square meters of filled land offshore from the town of Ordu. This airport serves towns along the Black Sea Coast.

Samsun (SZF)

Carsamba Airport is located 15 miles southeast of the center of Samsun. It serves Ordu, Samsun and nearby Black Sea Towns and in season has a few international flights.

Sivas (VAS)

Nuri Demirag Airport is located 14 miles northwest of the city center. It has regular flights to and from Istanbul.

Sanliurfa (GNY)

This airports name GAP comes from the Guney Anadolu Projesi, a huge irrigation and hydroelectric dams- and- lakes project that changed the face of the region. It is located 21 miles northeast of the city center in Sanliurfa. This airport has regular flights to and from Istanbul and Ankara.

Trabzon (TZX)

Trabzon international Airport is located 5 miles east of the city center and has daily flights to and from Istanbul and seasonal flights abroad. The airport opened in 1957. In 2009, Trabzon Airport ranked ninth for total passenger traffic and seventh for domestic traffic among airports in Turkey.

Van (VAN)

Van Ferit Melen Airport is located in Van, a city in the eastern region of Turkey. It is named after the Turkish politician and former Prime Minister Ferit Melen 1906- 1988. It has flights to and from Adana, Antalya and Ankara.
