Location

Kalkan is a town along Turkey’s Lycian coastline which is full of history and stunning beaches, it’s become a popular location to settle down or invest into for rental returns. Kalkan is a charming, unspoilt haven of picturesque nature, turquoise crystal-clear waters with plenty of historical architecture but retaining traditional hospitality.

Kalkan sits at the base of the Taurus Mountains and features a stunning bay with harbor.

Visitors tend to return year after year due to Kalkan’s sophisticated nature. The streets are narrow and plenty of historical architecture still remains here. Restaurants line the streets and many can be found up on roof terraces so the views over the town and bay can be seen and appreciated whilst dining. Kalkan was once an Ottoman/Greek and Turkish fishing village and still the fishermen can be seen leaving in the early hours and returning at sunset in their fishing boats.

There is plenty of nightlife in Kalkan but in a much more sophisticated way. You won’t find noisy hustle and bustle like in other tourist resorts.
