The beautiful seaside location of Çali Beach on the west entrance of Fethiye, is one of the most popular residential areas in Fethiye with expats for year-round, permanent living. The area provides plenty of wonderful restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping. Çali Beach is 4km long and the promenade has numerous bars and restaurants providing local and international cuisine.
Çali Beach is renowned for its spectacular sunsets and many people come just to witness them.
The beautiful Sehit Fethi Bey park in Çali has many species of birds living in their natural habitat and the beach is the breeding ground for Caretta Caretta (Loggerhead) turtles. If you’re lucky enough, you may see the female turtles laying their eggs on the beach at night.
Çali has numerous holiday complexes, hotels, private villas and rental properties so the promenade comes alive for the sunset viewings and evening dining. Windsurfing is a very popular sport here in Çali due to the warm summer winds blowing in from the turquoise sea.
Excellent public transport where the local dolmus and water taxi run frequently between Çali and Fethiye. There is a recently completed promenade and a cycling lane from Çali to Fethiye with lovely bars and restaurants for a stop along the way.
