Fethiye has plenty to offer when it comes to nightlife with the main three resort areas being Fethiye town, Oludeniz or Hisaronu.
If you’re after more of a quiet and relaxed evening, you can head up to Kayakoy and share a bottle of wine in one of the many wine houses or restaurants nestled up in the mountains. These locations promise an evening with beautiful surroundings and a much more sophisticated experience.
If it’s a lively night full of hustle and bustle you’re after, you should head down to Hisaronu which is located on the road to Kayakoy. This village is quiet in the daytime but becomes the heart of the nightlife in the evenings with neon lights, loud music and plenty of dancing. This resort turns into a fun house festival and pedestrian market on the summer evenings. The streets are lined with restaurants offering food from all over the world including British, Indian and Chinese cuisine. There are also plenty of boisterous bars with loud music and fun entertainment. You will be amazed at the amount of shops selling beach souvenirs lit up by fluorescent lighting, low priced genuine ‘fake’ clothes and various choices of street food.
Hisaronu is also the best place for clubbing with some of the best DJ’s spinning their music. There are also places offering interesting dance shows, cabaret shows and foam parties.
Oludeniz also has restaurants and café/bars but unless you’re staying in the Blue Lagoon location these places are harder to return from if you don’t have your own transport.
Fethiye town centre has a good number of bars, restaurants and shops lining the streets with the shops staying open late. The best place is The Old Town Bazar in downtown Fethiye that boasts plenty of bars that line the narrow streets. You will also find The Fish Market in Fethiye Old Town. This is a wonderful experience with many fish restaurants all crammed together in the market area. Everyone drinks ‘Raki’ accompanied by lots of ‘mezes’ (side dishes) and the atmosphere is upbeat with live music on offer.
